In a powerful statement that signals deepening strategic ties, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised former U.S. President Donald Trump for his unwavering support and partnership with Israel. Describing the alliance as “unbelievable,” Netanyahu emphasized the critical role Trump has played in confronting Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Following a visit to a hospital in southern Israel damaged by recent Iranian missile strikes, Netanyahu addressed reporters and shared insights into his ongoing communication with Trump.
“We speak nearly every day,” Netanyahu stated. “His determination, his clarity, and his firm stance that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons—this leadership is rare.”
Highlighting Trump's diplomatic efforts, Netanyahu said the former U.S. president provided Iran a genuine opportunity to negotiate. “They chose deception. But you can’t deceive Donald Trump,” he added, in what many analysts see as a direct warning to Tehran.
When asked whether the U.S. might become directly involved in the escalating tensions, Netanyahu replied,
“That’s up to the President. But the support we are already receiving is tremendous.”
Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to neutralizing Iran’s nuclear threat through decisive military action if necessary.
“By the end of this campaign, there will be no nuclear threat to Israel. No threat from ballistic missiles either,” he assured.
The Israeli leader also revealed that Israel has already inflicted “significant damage” to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. When questioned about whether Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei could be targeted, Netanyahu responded bluntly:
“No one is safe.”
This bold rhetoric marks a new phase in Israel-Iran tensions and signals the possibility of a larger geopolitical shift involving the U.S. and Middle East power dynamics.
