Woman Dies of Heart Attack Amid Fears of Iranian Attack on Israel

Woman Dies of Heart Attack as Iranian Missile Attack Hits Northern Israel — 23 Injured in Haifa

A 51-year-old woman tragically died of a heart attack inside a shelter in Karmiel, northern Israel, during the latest wave of Iranian missile strikes, Israel's emergency medical service Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed on Friday. The fatality occurred as sirens blared across the city, forcing residents to take cover in bunkers.

MDA reported that the woman collapsed shortly after entering the shelter. Despite resuscitation attempts, medics were unable to save her.

The attack also resulted in 23 injuries across the nearby city of Haifa, where missiles hit several populated areas. Three people are in serious condition — including a 16-year-old boy who sustained shrapnel wounds to his upper body — while two men aged 54 and 40 suffered severe leg injuries. The remaining 20 victims sustained light injuries.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that approximately 25 missiles were fired toward northern Israel during the assault. However, Israel's Channel 12 put the figure at 39 missiles.

In response, Israel launched retaliatory airstrikes on Iranian military sites. According to Iran's state-run IRIB's Young Journalists Club, Iranian air defense systems were activated in the southern city of Bushehr following the strikes. Al Jazeera also reported that the IDF targeted Iranian military infrastructure in Iran's southwest region.

As tensions escalate, residents across both countries are bracing for further attacks, and international observers warn of the risks of all-out war.
